Truck Bed Covers aren’t Folding Under the Weight

Well, I have a nice story for you. Me and my spouse where camping at about the 9,000 foot level on Mt. Biggie, and the snow had been falling down for the last few days pretty quick. There was already about 2 and a half feet there when we got there. It quit for approximately 3 or 4 hours that evening, almost great timing for us to get everything built up to rough it for the weekend.

I had brought my Ford 4×4, so there would not be any hitches with the precipitation. So, we fell asleep that evening to snow fall, and in the middle of the night, we were woke up to our shelter falling on us.

Obviously we had not prepared for that abundance of snow fall. I got up, and prepared to look around for anything to help us, when I looked over and noticed my truck. Yep, that’s the answer. The hard truck bed cover. My wife stayed under the fallen tent, till I cleaned out the floor of the truck. I lifted the truck bed cover and moved the tube I had back there out onto the snow, cleaned the floor off, and set some quilts down. We crawled into our new and went back to sleep.

In the morning we woke up to over five feet of snow and a nice clear day. We started a fire, had some coffee, and ate breakfast. Truthfully, the back of my truck was much more comfortable than the tent. We liked it so much, we stayed another two nights and it was fantastic! Thank goodness for our truck bed covers.
